Walking Dead Series 5 Revealed!

Over at the Dread Central website this morning they got the exclusive reveal of the next series of Walking Dead Minimates, which include some much wanted versions of popular characters as well as some new characters!

The fifth series of The Walking Dead Minimates picks up where Series 4 left off at the end of the prison storyline with a few all-new characters as well as new versions of the popular lead characters. The four two-packs include the first-ever Minimate of Maggie with a new Glenn in riot gear; a new, non-battle-damaged Tyreese with Michonne in her prison clothes; an unhinged Morgan with the new Geek Zombie; and a rare one-per-case variant set of Woodbury spy Martinez with Geek Zombie!
Each Minimate mini-figure stands 2 inches tall with 14 points of articulation and a variety of interchangeable parts and accessories, including hats, hair, and weapons!

Marvel.com reveals the Maria Hill Minimate from the Avengers series 45

The one thing this does is make me sad that we won't get a army builder singles assortment for this movie!

M.A.X. News!

 



Coming alongside a recap of what was shown at Toy Fair 2012, DST has also released a new M.A.X. animated video!  Also it was announced that the M.A.X. line was no longer a Toys R Us exclusive and would be available nationwide; as to if this means more retail stores carrying it or it moving into the specialty/comic book store realm is yet unknown but either way it sounds like a bigger distribution for this great line!  Series 3 was shown at Toy Fair and is slated to include Arctic and Night Ops sets, and new Soldier and Smokejumper paint schemes.  As well DST had the Armoured Personnel Carrier on display at Toy Fair and it has been updated to double as a battle station as well - a great idea and I feel it will add a great level of extra play to the APC vehicle!

Just came across this one USA Today, some pre-toy fair news of what Minimates will be on display:

Diamond Select. Minimates are one of the more popular collectible mini-figures for comic-book fans, and Diamond Select unleashes a new set tied to the upcoming The Amazing Spider-Man movie. (The company is also showcasing a new 7-inch resin Spidey statue designed by Gentle Giant and inspired by the film.) A new wave of MAX: Mobile Action Xtreme Minimates that are coming exclusively to Toys "R" Us will be previewed, as well as Minimates based on The Mummy and The Hunchback of Notre Dame, which are part of the Universal Monsters line of figures.

Straight out of the liveblog with DST on Marvel.com comes the images of The Avengers Minimates including the debut images of Hulk, Hawkeye, Black Widow, Loki and Nick Fury!  The last 4 of those being part of the TRU wave.  There are 3 more Minimates in the comic store wave that cannot be shown yet - 2 mystery foes and Maria Hill!
