Day 517

Day 517 May 31^st

Marvel Minimates Series 4:

Battle Damaged Daredevil

Looking back in the long history of Marvel Minimates this Daredevil shows one thing that the designers had right waaaaay back at the beginning; what a good battle damaged figure looks like!  Lots of scratch and scuff marks sure, but actual ripped costumes and exposed skin – details like this make me love the battle damaged look on toys!

Marvel Minimates Series 50 fan poll #2

Fan poll number 2 is up here!  Loads of goodness in the b-list poll, it is going to be hard to pick just 2!

Day 516

Day 516 May 30^th

Halo Minimates:

Active Camouflage Arbiter

These crazy looking aliens from Halo look pretty cool in Minimate form; and of course in my mind you can’t really go wrong with some clear Minimate action!

Day 515

Day 515 May 29^th

Halo Minimates:

Active Camouflage Spartan

While I am not a big Halo fan I do love playing around with the clear Minimates so this active camouflage Spartan makes for some good fun!

Day 514

Day 514 May 28^th

Marvel Minimate wave 45/TRU Avengers:

Iron Man

While I am not too sure about the overall look of this particular version of the Iron Man armour I am glad they made it look different from the previous movies so it stands out apart from them a bit.  I really like how DST has evolved the Minimates over the years especially with the addition of the sculpted arms and legs if need by; really adds to the awesomeness of them!

Day 513

Day 513 May 27^th

Sundays with my Son

I wonder if the wings on her head help her fly or if just the other wings do.

Day 512 May 26^th

Marvel Minimates Wave 45/TRU Avengers wave:

Hulk

It seems that Hulk has no luck in the Marvel movie scene until now!  I haven’t seen Avengers yet but from what I have heard this is THE Hulk in the Marvel Movie landscape.  I do have to say that this is one great looking Hulk Minimate even though I still prefer the brighter comic green colour!

Day 511 May 25^th

Fun Photo Friday!!

Day 510

Day 510 May 24^th

Marvel Minimates Wave 45/TRU Avengers wave:

Thor

I kinda dig this more casual look for Thor; it was nice to see them give him a bit different look for part of the movie at least since his main costume is pretty much the same.  While this released versions hair looks a bit better than the initial designs I find it still does not quite capture the look from the movie.

Day 509

Day 509 May 23^rd

Marvel Minimates Wave 45/TRU Avengers wave:

Captain America

To be completely honest the Avengers movie version of the Captain America costume does not really thrill me.  This might change after I see the movie but over all I am not too sold on it.  However in the Minimate form it looks amazing!  I also love how DST gave his shield a real metallic look; it’s a fantastic touch!

Day 508

Day 508 May 22^nd

Marvel Minimates TRU Avengers wave:

TRU exclusive Hawkeye

DST really knocked this one out of the park, not only getting the look of Hawkeye in the movie but also adding the detail of a quiver that can actually hold the loose individual arrows!!!  This is fast becoming one of my favourite Minimates!
